Avène Children's Sunscreen SPF 50+ offers exceptionally high and well-tolerated UVA and UVB protection for children aged 3 and up. The highly water-resistant and fragrance-free formula is specially formulated for sensitive children's skin and offers excellent skin tolerance. Thanks to a special switch effect, the skin-protecting formula is particularly easy to apply. The emulsion changes from an oil-in-water (O/W) to a water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion, leaving a pleasant protective film on the skin. An antioxidant protection complex further supports the skin's defense against damage from free radicals. The formula was developed with the environment in mind. Carefully selected ingredients and UV filters help to minimize the impact on the marine ecosystem. The exclusive Sunsitive® Protection filter system uses only four UV filters, thus providing maximum broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection with high photostability using the fewest possible filters and low concentrations. The antioxidant protection complex of Pro-Tocopherol® and Thialidine combines long- and short-acting antioxidants. Together with the skin's own natural protective agent, melanin, it helps protect the skin from UV radiation. This protects cellular DNA, reduces cell death, and strengthens the skin's natural barrier. Avène Thermal Spring Water also has a soothing, calming, and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.
