Application InfoThere are various pathogens that can cause illness. Only a doctor can determine whether the medication is effective against the specific infection.
Application NotesThe total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. How to use? Apply the medicine to the affected area(s) of skin. Or: Apply the medicine to the affected areas in the genital area. How long should it be used? The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease. Treatment should be continued for 2 weeks after symptoms have subsided. General treatment duration: for fungal skin infections, 3-4 weeks; for tinea versicolor, 2-4 weeks; for pityriasis versicolor, 1-3 weeks; for fungal infections in the external genital area, 1-2 weeks. Please inform your doctor if no improvement occurs after 4 weeks of treatment. Overdose? No symptoms of overdose are known. If in doubt, consult your doctor. Missed a dose? Continue the treatment as normal at the next scheduled time (i.e., do not double the dose). General advice: Pay particular attention to accurate dosing, especially for infants, young children, and the elderly. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any possible side effects or precautions. A dosage prescribed by your doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. Since the doctor tailors the dosage to your individual needs, you should therefore use the medicine according to their instructions.
DosageAll age groups: 1/2 cm strip of ointment. All age groups: Distributed throughout the day.
What side effects can occur? - Allergic reactions - Hives - Burning or stinging of the skin - Skin redness - Itching - Skin irritation - Rash - Blisters - Fluid retention (edema) - Skin peeling - Skin flaking. If you notice any discomfort or changes in your condition during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist. The information provided here primarily considers side effects that occur in at least one in 1,000 treated patients.
ContraindicationWhat are the contraindications? - Hypersensitivity to the ingredients. What about pregnancy and breastfeeding? - Pregnancy: Consult your doctor. Several factors need to be considered to determine whether and how the medication can be used during pregnancy. - Breastfeeding: The medication should not be applied to the breast. If the medication has been prescribed to you despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may outweigh the risk associated with using the medication despite the contraindication.
Important NotesWhat should you be aware of? - Caution if you are allergic to antifungal agents (e.g., clotrimazole)! - Emulsifiers (e.g., cetyl/stearyl alcohol) can cause skin irritation (e.g., contact dermatitis). - There may be drug interactions. Therefore, you should always inform your doctor or pharmacist about any other medications you are currently taking before starting treatment with a new medication. This also applies to medications you buy yourself, use only occasionally, or whose use was some time ago.
