Lansinoh® HPA® Lanolin Unrivaled in purity and quality, Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin was specially developed for the care of sore and cracked nipples. It is excellent for the sensitive skin of nursing mothers and for extra safety for babies. The ointment is hypoallergenic and guaranteed to be free of additives such as paraffin, perfume, preservatives, dyes or antioxidants. Because HPA® Lanolin is odorless and tasteless, the baby can taste your breast milk unadulterated when breastfeeding - therefore Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin does not need to be washed off before breastfeeding. There are various causes of sore nipples. Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin can be used as part of the treatment of skin problems. Uninjured skin provides the best protection against infections. Since Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin counteracts dryness of the skin, which can lead to cracking, and promotes skin health, possible secondary infections can be avoided by using this product.
Instructions for use: With clean hands, squeeze a small amount of Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin from the tube and let it become supple between your fingers. You can apply Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin to the entire nipple area after each breastfeeding or more often. The ointment does not need to be removed before breastfeeding. Further tips for use: If you want to particularly protect your sensitive nipples, you can also apply Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin before showering or bathing. However, if the soreness does not begin to subside within 48 hours of first applying Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin, you should contact a nursing advice center, a midwife or lactation consultant, or your doctor. In the event of a possible yeast infection (thrush with the fungus Candida albicans) or a bacterial infection of the nipple, the sole use of Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin is not sufficient. In these cases, please be sure to ask your midwife, lactation consultant or doctor for advice. What makes HPA® Lanolin so special? Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin does not need to be washed off before breastfeeding as it is particularly highly purified and each batch is strictly controlled. Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin is free of preservatives, antioxidants (such as BHT), perfumes, alcohol and other additives such as emulsifiers or paraffins. Can I use HPA® Lanolin if I have a wool allergy? Yes. Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin is hypoallergenic and well tolerated even by people with very sensitive skin. It consists of only one ingredient: 100% ultra-pure HPA® medical grade lanolin. HPA® Lanolin is so much brighter than other lanolin products, is the product chemically treated? Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin is not treated with bleach and is naturally light due to the particularly gentle manufacturing process. We also do not mix white paraffin with white beeswax to get a lighter color. HPA® Lanolin forms a protective layer on my nipple. Does this cause the skin pores to be clogged? Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin does not close pores or mammary glands and does not affect breastfeeding in any way. Unlike products that contain oils and paraffins, Lansinoh HPA® Lanolin is a natural product and can be quickly absorbed.
